Where to get help

There are many different people to see for each individual condition and issue and you may find you have more specialist phone numbers then friends at certain stages. Finding your community support group can be very helpful as they can often help organise everything from assisting cleaning, shopping, food and other things you may be having trouble with. Also finding one doctor to help organise medical things can be very helpful in the long run.
If you are feeling overwhelmed there are many free support services for general depression, pain and as such. Check out your local hospital and churches to see if they have community support.
If you are in desperate need of emotional help calling a place like Lifeline (13 11 14) can be very helpful. There is always a way to figure out things and get help emotionally and physically just take a deep breath and reach out.

We are working on building a mentor program for each state. At the moment we have Queensland covered but looking for mentors in other areas. Contact chiari australia if you are interested. All emails are still being processed by Chiari Australia. Check each link for state specific information.

Doctor List - this list is by people who have seen these doctors and been happy with how they deal with Chiari. Chiari Australia can't say whether or not these doctors are good for you so please use with caution.
